Game engine technology would be like a "Super Nintendo on steroids"
It would be "What the 32/64-bit era should have been"
Many of the game aspects would be influenced from the golden age of arcades (1977-1985 estimated) and the silver age (1986-1994 estimated) of arcade gaming. Some movies, other games, periods in history, scandals, and other things will be parodied, explained, speculated, and featured.

Game engine technology would be based on 2.5D and especially psuedo 3D like as was done on the Super Nintendo but expanded to include some modern visual effects.
Features include:

These visual effects are commonly known only on 3D games but in Diet Martyr, they would be applied to sprites perhaps with the use of OpenGL or Mesa 3D.

Game features would include and be known for

This game would show people that sprite games can be really awesome and why 3D games should not rule supreme.
Display modes include both the standard 4X3 aspect as well as 16X9 widescreen.
The standard 4X3 aspect ratio resolution includes 320X240 and 640X480 for higher resolution in 4X3 aspect.
Widescreen resolutions would include 427X240 standard resolution and 854X480 higher resolution for widescreen.
Screen edge borders can be added and the sizes can be specified to keep the entire screen area visible on virtually any television or display device.

Screen resolution should be 320 pixels wide and 240 pixels tall at 32-bit color (320X240 [4X3 aspect ratio]).
Arcade games that used this resolution include Joe & Mac Returns, Captain America and the Avengers, Operation Wolf, Robocop 2

The best games that are the best examples of and the most similar to what I want to make games like happens to be the Metal Slug (arcade) series and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Sony PlayStation).
