I finally did some more audio recording to test my new equipment. I like this recording enough that I thought about listing it here on my Diet Martyr website as a possible music piece to be used in some production associated with the game. I think that I might use it in a game to demo the game idea. You can download it here below and tell me what you think of it.

I have also finally got back to work on producing a video to show people what I would like the game to resemble. This video simulates a dusk or late evening setting in what will be a city.

I made another video to display a little more complexity in effects. This video is a night time setting in the same city. This video also shows more psuedo 3D through the use of Parallax scrolling. The first video that I made also shows Parallax scrolling. I also modified the audio a little from what was used in the first video.

I did some of the work with GIMP for some of the art, I used Micrografx Simply 3D to do 3D modeling with lighting effects and to composite all of the objects together. I mixed the audio using Audacity and I added the music to the video with Ulead Video Studio. I exported the video from Simply 3D using the LOSSLESS video codec known as Lagarith. This is the first time I used it and I really like it.

Remember that these videos available for download are encoded with lossy compression codecs, meaning that there is a quality reduction in order to enable a smaller file that is easier to download.
